Traditional Afghan Gemstone Setting

Posted by Ryan Chappell on

This is a traditional gemstone setting that was crafted in parts of Afghanistan. The gemstone is set by drilling holes in the silver around the shape of the gemstone then cutting out prongs and a central hole for the gemstone to sit in. Boom has been experimenting with this type of setting for a while now and a collection for men’s silver signet style rings are now available in moonstone, ruby, garnet, labradorite and tourmaline.
